**Scale Racing aka Scalextrix**

Channel your inner racer and hit the track! The indoor electric car scale race track that is. Anyone can race on this track. If you loved electric racetracks as a kid, you are going to bring out your inner child with this event. 

If you are unfamiliar with scalextrix, this is what Russell, the owner of Scale Auto Racing,  has to say: 

Each driver would be given some instruction and some practice laps, and then run a series of heats, rotating twice through each of four lanes. Drivers score points according to how they place in each heat, and at the end we announce overall results. We have software that manages these kind of events, and also it counts laps accurate to 1/1000th of a second in case of a tie. We use 4 matched cars for this kind of race, in this case probably our 4 Sauber Mercedes C9 Group C cars. Driving the cars is pretty easy, and is suitable for all kids ages 12 to 95. Driving them well however does take a fast trigger finger!

He’s even offered some complimentary racing to get us started.

At some point in the future,  we may meet up with the Triumph club for some friendly competition. So, come on out to Scale Auto Racing and start sharpening your racing skills.
